About the Benefits

The Berkeley Food Pantry

This local community organization has been in existence for 25 years. The BFP is a cooperative ministry of churches and organizations in the Berkeley-Albany area. It was originally founded by women in the Berkeley Friends Church and other churches which were part of the Sather Gate Churches. The service network is composed of 100% volunteers. The recipients who participate in the year round food bank total 250 families per month and they are screened for need by agencies in the community.

Albert Miner Memorial Scholarship Fund

Donations for this fund will provide scholarships for three students at any community college. This gift has been a tradition for 20 years. The scholarships are given annually to deserving students. New Millennium Strings would like to promote the continuation of this fund and acknowledge the memory of the founder, Albert Miner.
