The Chorale also thanks the conductors who took over during Richard's illness and prepared us for the concert: Carole Strauss, Michael Carlson, Yulia Ronskaya, and Thaddeus Pinkston, and Laurien Jones, who has ably led us through the dress rehearsals and concerts.

Richard Kramer, who has directed the Contra Costa Chorale for the last 22 years, now lays down his baton to enter a well-earned retirement. Dick has had a long and distinguished career as a tenor soloist, voice teach, and choral conductor, having been the director of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, the Dick Kramer Gay Men's Chorus, and the Oakland East Bay Gay Men's Chorus. He will continue to do voice coaching in his Oakland home.

We dedicate this concert to Richard, with best wishes for his health and the enjoyment of his leisure.

... Ja, der Geist spricht,
dass sie ruhen von ihrer Arbeit,
dennihrer Werke folgen ihnen nach ...
