Frank ChangViola SoloistFrank Chang studied violin in early childhood and later learned many other instruments including the flute, clarinet and alto saxophone. While in Berklee College of Music in Boston and later Rowan University, he pursued jazz arranging and composition. In 1979, he graduated with a BA in Music Education. In 1983 he performed with the Berkeley Symphony and in 1992 he became a member of the Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra. Although Frank considers himself primarily a violinist, he is proficient on the viola as well. Currently he studies with Nathan Rubin and performs with several orchestras including the Blackhawk Symphony Orchestra, Pro Art Symphony Orchestra, and the Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra. In addition to Frank's musical commitments, he is employed as a local BMW dealership. |
