Jeffrey Watson

Violincello Soloist

Jeffrey Watson moved to the Bay Area in 1992, following his graduation from the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut, and the University of Southern California. His principal cello teachers have been Gordon Epperson, Raya Garbousova, David Finckel, and Gabor Reijto.

Mr. Watson was a member of the Honolulu Symphony for three seasons and has toured Japan with the Henry Mancini Orchestra. Recently in Hong Kong he was featured with the Hong Kong String Quartet in performances of Schubert's chamber music. In addition, he has been a performing member of the New Century Chamber Orchestra for six seasons. He has also been appointed by New Century to develop educational music programs in the schools. Mr. Watson is joining New Millennium Strings as soloist following his recent return from the Sun Valley Music Festival in Idaho.
