Moira Little

Oboe

Moira Little serves as Principal Oboist with the Kensington Symphony. In addition, she performs as an English horn player and is active as a chamber musician and as a soloist on both instruments. Moira's lifetime mentor is Leonara Gillard, who was the primary teacher for her music degree. Among other oboists she has been influenced by are the late Joe Cooper, Lee Lincoln, and John Mack, Principal Oboist of the Cleveland Orchestra. Besides her symphonic experiences, Moira has studied Baroque performance practices with Peter Hurd, with whom she occasionally performs. Currently, Moira is an oboe instructor at the Holy Names College Prep Music Department, and she is also a music specialist for two schools in Albany.
