Richard Kramer

Music Director, Contra Costa Chorale

Dick Kramer was music director of the Contra Costa Choral from 1983 to 2004. He has directed many choral groups in northern and southern California and has performed as a tenor soloist with the Roger Wagner Chorale, Carmel Bach Festival, and Santa Fe Opera. He toured under State Department auspices in Central America and the Caribbean for six months with the Roger Wagner Chorale and in Europe with the Santa Fe Opera conducted by Igor Stravinsky.

In addition to his work with the Contra Costa Chorale, he has been music director of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus, the Dick Kramer Gay Men's Chorale, and the Oakland East Bay Gay Men's Chorus. He has been on the music faculty at Contra Costa College and teaches privately.
