New Millennium Strings: Supporters and Volunteers

Music is the universal language, inspiring mankind to achieve the impossible, and bringing peoples together from the four corners of the world. Music also unites the human heart in bonds of purpose and appreciation. Music was immortalized in the words above penned by Shakespeare over 400 years ago, and continues to draw millions to concert halls around the world.

We invite you to join with the New Millennium Strings, under the artistic direction of Laurien Jones, to promote a greater awareness of the power of music in the hearts of Bay Area listeners. Currently in its fifth year of providing performances of the great repertory pieces and of many lesser heard gems from the masters of musical composition, the New Millennium Strings is embarking on its sixth season of providing musical excellence to Area wide listeners. Relentless in her quest for excellence from the Orchestra's musicians, Ms. Jones provides a superb menu of works on each program from the classics to recent compositions deserving of a wider hearing. Each rehearsal is a music lesson in its own right, and enhances the musicians' level of appreciation of works in preparation, which in turn delights audiences with the Orchestra's interpretation.

Please consider the role you could play in enhancing our Area's enjoyment of fine classical music by becoming an active financial supporter of the New Millennium Strings. It is a well known fact that ticket prices provide only a fraction of the operating income so vital to the survival of Arts groups in today's economy; the Orchestra's continuing performances and its future growth are crucially dependant upon gifts from patrons of the arts, corporate Sponsors, and like minded citizens who are drawn to the beauty of music and to its universal language. All gifts supporting the Orchestra are income tax deductible.
